En México existe hasta un 35.8%.<strong> Objetivo: </strong>fue evaluar una intervención educativa efectuada por enfermería sobre aspectos nutricionales en adolescentes con obesidad y sobrepeso en una escuela pública de Cd Victoria.<strong> Métodos:  </strong>a través de un estudio cuasi-experimental con 54 estudiantes conforme a lo dispuesto en la Guía de Práctica Clínica sobre Intervenciones de Enfermería en la prevención del sobrepeso y obesidad en niños y adolescentes en el primer nivel de atención mediante muestreo probabilístico por conveniencia. <strong> Resultados: </strong>Antes de la intervención el 64.8% contaban con bajo nivel de conocimiento. En la post-intervención el 46.2% obtuvo conocimiento excelente y 48.1% mejoro su conocimiento de regular a bueno.<strong> Conclusiones: </strong>Por lo que se concluye que la intervención educativa es una estrategia efectiva para fomentar el autocuidado de la salud a través de la Enfermería escolar.</p><div><p><strong>Introduction: </strong>The World Health Organization (2014) reports in Latin America up to 25% of under 19 affected by overweight and obesity. In Mexico there is up to 35.8%. <strong>Objectives: </strong>In this situation, our objective was to evaluate an educational intervention carried out by nursing on nutritional aspects in adolescents with obesity and overweight in a public school in Ciudad Victoria. <strong>Methods: </strong>a quasi-experimental study with 54 students as provided in the Guide to Practice clinic on Nursing Interventions for the prevention of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents in primary care by probabilistic convenience sampling. <strong>Results: </strong>Preoperatively 64.8% had low level of knowledge.
