OBESIDAD: UNA PERSPECTIVA EPIDEMIOLÓGICA Y SOCIOCULTURAL
Abstract
El surgimiento de la obesidad como una problemática de salud, y particularmente como un objeto de análisis desde una perspectiva de salud pública, ha cobrado un interés preponderantemente en los últimos años. Con anterioridad se consideraba que este problema de obesidad era exclusivo de sociedades desarrolladas, sin
embargo ahora esta contingencia es evidente en países de bajos ingresos y pobres. Y ha conllevado a considerarla como una indudable epidemia.
