CALIDAD DEL PATRÓN DE CONSUMO ALIMENTARIO EN POBLACIÓN DEL NORESTE DE MÉXICO
Abstract
RESUMEN
Introducción: En el Noroeste de México no se dispone de datos representativos de la calidad del patrón de consumo alimentario en distintos grupos de edad, regiones. Objetivos: Analizar a través del Índice de Calidad del Patrón de Consumo Alimentario (ICPCA) la calidad del patrón de consumo alimentario de la población de 10 a 50 años diferenciados por grupo de edad, género y región del noreste mexicano. Métodos: Estudio transversal, polietápico y estratificado y probabilístico en cuatro regiones geopolíticas del Noreste de México donde se encuestaron 4,438 individuos de 10 a 59 años de edad. Resultados: Los adultos tienen mejor puntaje medio del ICPCA que los jóvenes. En los adultos, el género femenino tiene mayor puntaje medio, mientras que, en los jóvenes el género masculino tiene mayor puntaje medio. El ICPCA está asociado a las variables sociodemográficas: edad, región donde habita la persona. Conclusiones: Este estudio aporta evidencia acerca de la asociación del índice de Calidad del Patrón de Consumo Alimentario con la edad, el género y la región donde se habitan.
ABSTRACT
Introduction: In the Northwest of Mexico is not available representative data of quality food consumption pattern in different age groups, regions. Objectives: Analyze through Quality Index Food Consumption Pattern (ICPCA) the quality of the food consumption pattern of the population aged 10 to 50 years differentiated by age group, gender and region of northeastern Mexico. Methods: Cross-multistage, stratified and probabilistic four geopolitical regions of northeastern Mexico where 4,438 people were surveyed 10 to 59 years old study. Results: Adults have better average score ICPA young people. In adults, the female gender has a higher mean score, while in the male youth has highest average score. The ICPCA is associated with sociodemographic variables: age, region where the person lives. Conclusions: This study provides evidence for the association Quality Index Food Consumption Pattern with age, gender and region where they live
